@nmex,

try Novamedia It works as advertised. It is probably one of my most valuable programs. Here in Finland, we have 3G an this thing simply rolls along without drama. A bit expensive but considering the the time and hassle to get things working, this is worth the money. (I got mine free, as I know the owner of the company, but still. )

I've followed the directions and am still getting 1 device found, isync cannot connect to this device.

I'm using Tiger and the initial firmware version. The phone seems to be un-branded.

Any help is much appreciated.

Help might be on the way. Apple just released a bunch of new software upgrades. So keep your fingers crossed.

Oh, so when the instructions were to close all windows then sync, it means to close all windows and THEN sync.

Duh.

Thanks.

We all have much to be grateful for in the advice of JoolsG4 and WirelessMonkey. I have now tried both methods with my Orange SE K750i and a PowerMac G5 Dual 2.7GHz machine on Tiger 10.4.1 etc.. First Jools's, with the files from his own site. I tried several times, very carefully, and had no luck whatsoever.

Then I tried WirelessMonkey's and this worked first time, both for Address and iCal. I'm only interested in syncing one way, Mac >> 750i so it's completely functional for me. Well, not quite. I suspect that Jools is completely right that nothing so far will cure the 'amend-an-address-on-the-Mac-wipe-it-from-the-750' problem. It does wipe it every time I've tersted it, 100% consistently. So, don't amend. Write a whole new entry instead and that's fine.

As for putting the 750i picture in the iSync panel, I used the K750 one that Jools supplied, renamed it 'K700' and replaced the real K700 tiff in the appropriate folder. I took to heart WirelessMonkey's final note: "leave all reference to K700 in code as I have. This is important."

I'm expecting a Palm LifeDrive any day now and that will complete my trio of complementary gadgets. This minimises the need to input data to the 750i on-the-road as the LifeDrive is easier to use as an input device. Two way syncing between the LifeDrive and Mac is not an issue. Furthermore, apart from being a very good mobile, and a not-bad camera, the 750i will be a conduit for emailing from the LifeDrive. Oh, and outside this forum thread's interest, at last I don't need my Mac laptop. Adding a keyboard to the LifeDrive and I reckon I cover 95% of the territory. I've experimented for 10 years with different combinations and never quite got it right. Well, no longer....

Anyone know about the proposed 10.4.2 upgrade?

Been hearing that it is coming for a while.

Hi,
I thanks to everybody for this threat. I got my phone compleatly working with /System/Libary/Phone Folder/ patch. It Syncs including the calendar.
I followed all the instructions on deleting com.apple.iSync , com.apple.Bluethooth and I think there something third I don't remember.
After the initial patch I found at http://mobile.feisar.com/ my iSync crashed at start. I replaced it with the version found i this threat but it still crashed. I put the isync in the base folder of Applications (in the german version named Programme) and deleted the com.apple.bluethooth thing and it worked again.
Therafter I connected the phone using the mac search for phones.
iSync didn't want to sync unless I turned the possible Internet connection for the phone on. (the phone asks on connection if you want to allow Internet connection).
After that the sync worked without problem.

By the way:
I got a PB 12" with 10.4.1 The Adressbook syncing worked without a hinch out of the box without any patches.
The Phone is a unbranded K750i bought at a E-Plus Shop in Germany.

Hope that helps

Hi,
me again
there seams to be a flaw. When I change something on the Phone or in the Adress book, the change isn't done after the sync on the other device.
The solution is to change it on the pb and delete all contacts on the phone and then resync it....
Gucky

Thanks for your help guys in getting my K750 working with my iSync.

One thing though, I noticed that it won't send and receive SMS messages via Addressbook. Has anyone else noticed this, and more to the point, is there a fix?

After two day's I've managed to get my K750 to sync. I tried all the methods listed with no joy and this is what cracked it:

Mac: G5, Duel 2.5 (Out the box, clean system with no additional software installed)
OS: Updated to Tiger 10.4
Phone: UK Vodafone K750i
Colour: Vodafone only supply the silver one, not happy!

I downloaded and used method provided by:

The followed approach by:

This is what I did was:
1) Deleted everything I previously did.
- pairing on computer and phone
- removed phone form isync
- checked to see if Phones folder in Home/Library was emptied. (it was)

2) Deleted all contacts on phone (I think this was the important part. This I never previously did)

3) Made sure Jool' two files were still added to my iSync app.

4) Checked to make sure I didn't have other hacks installed.

5) Restarted computer, restarted phone

6) Initiated pairing from computer

7) Went through the regular process but unticked everything apart from Address Sync in the popup dialogue

Launched iSync and used the Add Device to add the phone

9) In iSync, selected "merge data", checked to make sure calendar was deselected

10) Synced!

11) Let out a cheer!

12) Wrote down what I did, Quickly!

I've restarted a few times and it seems to still be working.(sure it will stop at some stage) They only other thing that may be a factor is that I have my phone plugged into the USB to charge.

Hope tis helps someone,
Thanks Jools and thanks Hoziedude!

There is a new iSync upgrade. It added my wife's Nokia 6680, so the k750 should be there.
