MTN, SA
Vodacom, SA
Cell C, SA
Spacefon Areeba, Ghana
CellPlus, Mauritius
EMTEL, Mauritius

Anybody else have more information on GPRS networks across Africa?

I found out about Spacefon Areeba in Ghana, and have added it to the list.

Egypt, Kenya, Zimbabwe, where are you?

Really doubt Zim will have a GPRS-capable network.

EconetWireless International may be less sophisticated than I thought then. Aren't they Zim?

Econet is actually a South African company. The guy who started the company had some trouble with Uncle Bob and moved down South with his company. Don't know if Econet still runs a network in Zim.

OK, Zim is out for now. So is Congo. How about Kenya? That's one country that's setting some paces in telecoms on the continent.

Any info on GPRS networks in Kenya?

You mentioned Ghana's Spacefon Areeba. This network's GPRS is not yet commercial. It is still on soft launch for over 5 months now. Kenya's Safaricom recently launched GPRS. There is 3g in Mauritius. No GPRS in Sierra Leone as you implied earlier. You would do well to support you writings with fact and not this obsession just for the sake of posting. There is quite comprehensive information about GPRS in Africa on http://www.mobileafrica.net

Again, what's your point? These have been mentioned.

I did mention I got that info off Google. You have a problem with that, sue them. But thanks for the correction anyway. Appreciated

How did you arrive at this interesting conclusion that I have an obsession for posting?

Yes, MobileAfrica is a good place for info on GSM services in Africa, but even the info there is not 100 percent uptodate.

I actually visit MobileAfrica and personally have a working relationship with them.

Lastly, if you'd just modify the tone of your posts, you'd sound more polite and inoffensive. Just my opinion though
