this is kind of weird... me and my mom are using cingular... and all of a sudden both of our phones stopped working. we arnt on the same billing plan/cycle eather. but my phone is saying "no access" then it will say cingular but will have the phone with the line through it (meaning u cant make calls) or nothing will be where the operator logo is, but i have reception... and neither of our phones will work... idk what to do...

well we were having a bad storm, and it seems the closest tower i used got struck my lightning and went out, but cingular quickly fixed it somehow. good job cingular.

it actually was pretty good for the most part... sometimes it went out because the clouds were so bad, but it went out 15 minutes a day MAX exept for once when it went out for about 2 hours
we lost power for many many days... i went to a gas station a few miles away (first place i saw that had power) and charged my phone there after the hurricane lol, i sat outside and let it charge. I couldnt drive because the roads were too messy!

i wish thats all i could say about it haha
this hurricane season is supposed to be a little worse... 1 or 2 more major storms, and they will all be stronger (that is what was predicted)... im gonna need a backup battery by then lol

If you have a PC with a UPS, you can disconnect the ups and charge the mobile with it. Charging does not draw heavy current from ups so you'll be able to charge it many times. I've done that many times (i'm in india) with all 3 mobiles i've had and thankfully nothing had blown up! But don't blame me if something happens to your charger or mobile.
