well open your phone and look where it is made... I bet most of the ericsson and sony-ericsson phones are not made in Sweden.
My T18s was made in the UK!

I looked at some (of the many) SE phones we have here to see where they are made.
K700i: China
P910i: France
S700i: Japan
all different! On request I can look for other models too

Lots of handsets are heavily outsourced to other countries.

China seems to get the majority of the manufacturing contracts. and Nokia are investing very heavily in India at the moment because it is simply cheaper.

My S700i was made in Japan but the battery was made in Japan and finished in China.

India is a major market of cell phone not because of price lemme tell u that.

India has a lots and lots of buyers for cell phones.

U will find nokia 6600 so common no wonder u will find even nokia 9500 common in urban cities and so sony ericsson p900

Tho the sales of p910 is good. rite now Nokia rules the indian market cause indians litracy is only 60% rest un-educated prefer nokia because it gives Hindi language so it easy and comfortable for them.

In one way i dont think Sony Ericsson lacks anywhere to be on the top for me Sony Ericsson is on the top of Indian market because its a world class quality phone and if u see all the celebs / sportsmen etc etc they use Sony Ericsson infact even in the feild of politics they had p800 when it had launched.

Since it's all about beer now, I should say that 2 weeks ago I drank a lot of beer in Sweden.
The prices in bars were twice higher than in the Netherlands, but this made me want it even more than I usually do.
And about the K750, I asked in a shop about it last week, because they had a model of it already.
The guy said it will come in 2 weeks, that means, i guess, some time next week.
It seems that this time they'll start sales everywhere approximatelly the same time.

@semo. Yes, that what it sounds like to me too.

I don't know why they don't release phones globally at the same time, although as a proprietor, being the first to sell the K750i would be tempting as word would spread and you would sell more than your competitors.

I wonder if Laffen has the K750i Avatar ready yet?
