There's no way without paying.
Why do you have to pay? Because you're using Software not written by SonyEricsson, they didn't intend the tones to be able to be changed. Some people have figured out how to get around that, they charge for that privledge (it's actually all part of unlocking/debranding phones)
It's not that easy to do unless you understand what you're doing, I suggest you find someone who's willing to do it for you rather than attempt it yourself and end up with a non-working phone. |

paying for setool is ridiculous for a few reasons is the standalone price which is worth a brand new phone or almost half the price of k700i and the worst thing about it is that its not under warranty so your placing your phone at risk....
seriously unreasonable... |

My k750i (flashed to a w800) lets me select any midi/mp3/whatever as a message tone, by selecting the last option (Bulls Eye by default), and pressing "Replace" (which replaces the "Play" option). Is this a feature of the w800, or is there something special with my firmware? |

I think we are talking about the message received confirmation signal which cannot be changed. Not the message signal itself! If the w800 does support changing that, I'll flash my 750 to 800 immediately. |

my w800 lets you choose a customerised message alert tone, but so does my k750i too...

I think Ward is looking to change the Delivery Report Tone, which unfortunately cannot be done. One question @ ezinger, Which phone are you using, as you don't mention it in your post???
