Hi!
I know some people won`t be happy about this topic. I used to have a Sony J6 and J70 before (at the moment i have a T630) and in SE i really really miss, what we did with the Jxx Community. Jxx hack IMHO was the best in the mobile history!! It really was!! It was amazing how much we could do with our phone, what we couldn`t before. I know, probably the next question will be: "Why? What did you do with those phones?" It`s a very very long story, if you`re interested i can recommend Syllas.com forums (and some peoples` site who did most of it: www.r00t.cz , nimar.inj.ru).
So i really miss these thing, cause currently there`s NO hack in SE (apart from a Developer FW, and some modificated GDFS -> SMS tones).
As i see this forum people are very excited about new phones, etc, which is fine (i`m looking forward for the new phones to come, too), but does somebody care about doing the bast what you could with your phone?
This is the real challange, and i know that it`s very very hard, indeed. I was speaking a lot with the ex-Jxx users (hackers  ), who has SE phones now and so far they couldn`t do to much with it either. The T610 series has AVR main CPU which is a MESS when you disassemble it, so it`s very hard to do something. And also, so far we know the exact chip model, which is on the T610 series but we don`t know any infos about it, there is NO info on the net so far (just of it`s previous old Ericsson one).
AFAIK the new phones has and will have just ARM chip, which sounds good and we have more experience with it. The only thing that there is no way to modify fw`s for it at the moment, cause we can`t flash.
It was great, that we had a Terminator (and still) for the T610 series...
As i see a guy did some changes in the fw in an other forum (i`m not sure that i can tell the address, cause it`s an international SE forum, too). He could do some very interesting things but the fw stayed unstable and it`s dangeorous -> he hasn`t released the fw yet.
Don`t take me wrong, IMHO this is the best SE forum by far, but tell me, does somebody interested in these things? Does somebody try something?
I`m wondering how long this topic will live.

We do have a few experts on firmware related matters and it seems that it is quite hard to modify current SE firmware (K700, S700, V800).
Have you ever tried to modify the firmware of a K or S series phone? If you have we'd love to hear about it and what happened. It would be great if one day we could add extra menu features and stuff to our phones but it just doesn't seem possible right now.

Personally i haven`t done anything with SE firmware, but some of my mates disassembled T630 fw. They say that the AVR part is a MESS while the ARM (with which we have some experience) looks quite alright. The only thing is, that ARM doesn`t contain too much infos, just connectivity AFAIK.
What we really wana do is to f.e. change the first, SE menu of the phone to an own menu to be able to upload own progs there.
But yea, at the moment it seems like a dream.
I have absolutely no experience with K and S series fws, but AFAIK they use just ARM chip, which is good -> could be easier to hack than a T610 series phone.
But the thing with it is you have to use a remote server to upload fw to phone and i don`t know if you can upload modified fw or not.
I`ll check setool forum, probably i`ll get the answer there.
