problem with gprs connection! |

hello. I bought a P910i form France. I came with it home(in another countery) and I discovered a problem : while setting up "WAP Accounts" I noticed that 3 predefined account from Orange France and at the Preffered sectionI can`t choose mine. The problem is that the preffered acoount s Orange`s France : ORANGE WORLD and i can`t connect with it. What can i do fix the problem? i don`t want to rewrite the software into the phone. I called Orange from my country and they said they can`t do anything. called SE support and the answer was the same. they call it "Data Coded". What can I do? I reallly need wap acces!

Can you make a new wap profile and use it for the connection? You can get parameters for it on your providers site. If not I think that reinstalling firmware is the only solution.

i can make a new profile in the internet connection area. only in wap setiings i can`t change the preffered conection. I created a profile and i connected with opera in the internet. but I can`t use the built in "internet explorer"

The only way is to get the firmware flashed to a generic software. You can do it from the net but it does invalidate your warrenty.

don`t care about warranty. how do I reflash it from the net? the Sony Update service rewrites the latest software version unbranded?? it would really be great!

mostly solved the problem with the connections! now i really need to know if update service writes a unbranded software into the phone!

Phone IME number needed to get update. Sony got your's as loked phone. It even might not let you to update with other people untill orange will relise there update |
