Like the title says.... Is there any way i can save video files to the 'other' folder rather than the videos one?

sorry if this has been posted or you can't i'm just curious as everytime i send a video through my dongle it saves to the phones video folder, i'm using a K700i btw

any help appreciated, thanks

you need to rename the extension,it will then save in the others folder.not sure as to whether or not it can be renamed from the k700's filesystem...it's ages ago since i got rid of mine.

@condor - When I download vids having other formats aside from the 3gp one, it automatically directs the transfer to the 'other' folder. Say, mpeg format et al . . . [addsig]

The k700 supports the standard .3gp and mp4 vid formats....other stuff like .avi, .mpg etc will automatically get lodged in the others folder since the phone systen does'nt recognize the format..best thing to do is to use a video convertor to encde the fies to a recognizable format and then ransfer them ....these will then go directly to the videos folder

Transfer the videos you wanna move to others to pc. Now when you copy them back, copy to others folder instead of dropping them in root directory. Same is true for any other kind of file...whether supported or not supported.

cheers for the help guys, for videos i use mpegable X4 live and then just transfer them with my dongle, i don't bother with any of the sony ericsson software i got with the phone
