I received a text message this afternoon from my girlfriend who's in the czech republic for a couple of days, but in my Sony Ericsson K700 inbox, the small sms icon shows this is a BROKEN message (instead of a closed envelope or an opened envelope which you see normally).
Plus the fact that I'm missing the last part of the message. So I didn't received the complete message/sms off her.

How is this possible? What could went wrong? And is there ANY possibilty for me to fix this message and read the complete message?

Any of you with experience with this problem?

Thanks in advance!!!

@saf...no need to worry..she probably tried to send you a very long msg..when the length exceeds the preset number of characters the phone breaks it down into 2 messages. you prpobably just got 1 part.. but not to worry..theres nothing wrong with the phone

Thanks for your response, but I want to read everything in it! So is there any chance of receiving the second part of it, later today maybe? (I know my phone is fine but I want to read the hole text!).

Thanks

Networks send messages to your phone in parts of 160 characters each...using the necessary extra info with them your phone(if it supports this) joins them as one. The k7 does but what has happened here is that the second part has been delayed due to network congestion...it will drop by sometime later and your k7 will again display "new message received"

Yes I know, of course. But it's not mainly about what's IN the text, it's just about the fact that I want to know why it shows only part 1 of her text.

And yes I'm curious as well of course! lol! So I texted her back, and she replied that I will never know what was in part 2 of her text. lol.

Can't be that important.

Thanks for your help, and I hope I'll receive part 2 later today.
