Quick question,
Do any Orange UK subscribers know of any existing problems the Orange network has sending text messages to the US? Using Voicestream over here I am able to send messages to a friend in the UK, but I in turn cannot receive the ones they send me back. I'm wondering if this is a receiving issue on Voicestream's part or a transmission problem on Orange's side.

Thanks

Orange users CAN send sms to the us but it depends what network the receipient is on, now i know u can not recieve them on voicestream central as my gf can't receive mine even though i get hers, go to orange.com and check the international converage and dialling and it lists the cost of calling the countries and with a bit of fiddling it will bring up a list of all the us networks and weather or not u can sms them.

When I had Orange France Prepaid before, I could not send SMS's to anyone else other than people in France!

I tried sending it to my girlfriend who was in Germany at the time (Only about 10KM's from me, using Vodafone) and she could not RECIEVE any SMS's from me.
What's even more annoying, is that I could recieve her SMS's, but she could not call me, but I could call her!

Eventually, I got pissed off and got Swisscom.

Next time I head for France, I'll probably try out SFR or Bouygues.
I'll make sure to stay away from Mobile Providers that say "Orange".

i don't think so it depends who ur network is partnered with orange and vodaphone have the biggest networks it think best thing to do is check their international calling on the websites.
