On the T610 are you suppose to be able to change the volume of the alarm?
It doesnt follow the volume the ring signal is at,and starts off very low volume to the loudest. Which in my opinion is too loud.

Can I not just get it to ring at a steady volume the whole way through? Or get it to max out at say 3 volume bars.

You could always create a profile for the alarm and set the volume to ring only at a certain level.

The point of it being loud is to wake you up, to make you notice it. Get up quicker and it wont be as loud.

As someone said, the alarm is supposed to wake you up. As a consession it has been implemented as a Cresendo type alarm, starting quiet and becoming loud. the idea is That it starts quiet to try and wake you up without waking up the rest of the street, but if you are in a deep sleep, it will increase UNTIL you are awake. This is common in all SE/Ericsson phones (except for one that I know of). And applies to other phones manufacturers too, such as Nokia.

If you want a quieter alarm, use the Reminders feature. That does not increase with time.

* The only SE phone that you can control the Alarm sound is the P800 (and maybe the p9x0). Although it does have an increasing sound, it maxes out at your ringtone level.
