I think it's one of those which you use with credits on websites to de-customise/de-brand/flash mobile phones, i have a SE v802se in white/ v800 white and have been told that this is what i need...

You need a T28 cable.

To be honest if you are gonna use the davinci server then get a DSS-25 cradle.
Much faster as its USB and comes in handy for connecting to windows anyway .. the T28 cable will be serial connector and thats about all its good for.
