So basically all i need is a t28 cable. and to download davinci software and get 1 credit and this 1 credit will allow me to unlock and debrand the phone with the latest firmware ..
Then i should have a normal k700i without all the vodafone crap.. and have the latest firmware? which is R2AL029
Thanks
P.s.. Whats the chances of it knackering my phone up?

If you want to unlock as well as unbrand, this will cost 2 credits, but apart from that, you are correct.
The chances of the flash going wrong as slim, but if it does, don't worry. As gbrooks3 says, the only way to break a phone is with a hammer! In other words, you can never break a phone by flashing it. It will always be recoverable by simply flashing it again.
Once you have flashed it, all the Vodafone rubbish will be gone.
The latest firmware is R2AL, but if you want to use this firmware, you have to ensure you follow the instructions when you download the firmware (you'll see what I mean).

No but for R2AL, the process is slightly different.
First of all you have to download TRANSFORM_CID29_to_CID36, put this in the main firmware file, and flash without finalisation. Then you can flash the R2AL main and FS file with finalisation as normal. As I say, when you go to download this firmware from within DaVinci, it explains this process.
£78 seems like a pretty good deal. My friend just sold his Orange K700i on eBay for about £102 or something like that.

You can indeed flash with a DSS-25 using DaVinci. You don't need anyone to email you the firmware files as you can download them from within the DaVinci client once you have a credit.
You can get cheap DaVinci credits from 619 (PM him). I think he charges $8 (just over £4) for 1 credit.

When you pay 619 via PayPal, you can select the currency to pay in. All it does it takes the GBP equivalent from your bank based on the exchange rate.
I got my DSS-25 from eBay for about £12, and also my T28 service cable for £3.

You still need a credit to flash the phone. Its no good just having the firmware files, all loggers require 1 credit to flash the phone. |

They do. Okay, so you can browse for the files on your PC instead of downloading them from DaVinci. But it will cost you a credit to flash! You must accept it!
