Just a stupid suggestion... But does the source video actually run for 4 mins?

Must be some problem with the o/p settings try using other preset i/p o/p settings..

Make sure the target frame rate is under 15, 14.99 is ok, I find this solves most problems

Yeah I know it sounds odd, some videos I tried to encode only lasted for 1min and xx seconds, I read somewhere that as long as the target frame rate is under 15 it will solve it. I have had no problems since. Let me know if this works for you.

with what configuration do you encode films?
I heard that many encoded whole 80 minute films on the k700i. what are the configurations? I mean framerate, dimension, audio, encoding codec?

I find a total bitrate of 200 (180 video, 20 sound) , 176*144 res, gives great results but takes up quite a bit(30mb), I prefer having better quality, but I am limited to about 25min of playback (good for simpson/south park episodes) It's just a matter of lowering the video bitrate until you find the size/quality you want, mono sound 22050 works good.

Full films are not really worth it as you cannot advance, pause etc.so is very inconvienant, hopefully with the new k750 this might be possible using the built in video editor. I have encoded a few full films which turn out about 100meg an hour with excellant quality (250 video,50 sound). Cant wait to try these settings when the phone is released.
