From where I'm coming from, investing in BT or IR is much cheaper compared to downloading via wap in the long ruun. You might wanna consider BT? Fast and convenient |

Definitely, and you have all the other extras as well. But you'd be surprised at the amount of people using this service.

You can buy a BT USB dongle on Ebuyer for around £9 but the WIDCOMM drivers are a sod to install (SP2 issues), I think that's what puts people off. I managed it though and would be willing to help others that get stuck. |

Thnx a lot guys, but i think i'll settle for BT an IR since my country is a bit laidback. i.e No WAP access yet

There's another option for uploading files to a mobile via web:
http://www.mobile-j.de/pc2mobile
It's even useful if you have a BT adaptor since some phone 's (eg Samsung SGH D500) don't allow to install Java MIDlets over bluetooth. (They can only be installed using WAP / OTA)

for me mobSend is cool.
go to mobsend.com
mobSend is a new mobile friendly WAP files hosting service that allows users to upload any content for mobile phones like wallpapers, ringtones, 3gp videos, themes, MMS/ SMS messages, operator logos, pictures, softwares and JAVA games from a desktop computer to an online server and provides a WAP based website (wap.mobsend.com) for downloads so that mobile users can download the content free of cost directly onto their mobile devices. |
