I banged my upper leg into the kitcheen table! I was going to make a cup og english breakfast tea! And i banged my leg! And i banged it rite int the pocket area of my throusers! And bang the edge of the table hit my mobile! Buuuuuhuuuu cr cry this is so horrible its a big ugly crack in the display of my S700i! The phone seem to still work fine the color isent mesed up or anything is just the front glast thing. Does anyone know how much it is to change it? And again buuuuhuuuu! This is like making your own kid retarded!!!!

Take that lump of cracked mess to a service centre in lumpaland!  And, as vanquish said, if you can afford to buy an s700, you can certainly afford to repair it! Good luck!

oh man!!! tats like one of the common accidents actually... Once i broke and spoil my Nokia 8250 phone... it was in my pocket and i fell hard of my skates... oh well tats a Nokia anyways hehe... N i bum my V800 a lil bit.. hitting the tables, walls etc.. and all the time it was in my pocket.. lucky enough it wasnt as major as urs dude.. and everytime i bum it, i will go like 'oh damn!' in my mind.. well all i can say for u is, to go to SE servic centre and get the cover change ASAP u dont want dust/residue entering ur phone..

looks like its just a matter of changing the front panel...take it to a service centre anyways

If it's just the perspex you're lucky. You could replace the cover yourself and it shouldn't cost too much. |

ur lucky...ull get spares...
i dropped my compaq ipaq 3850 soem time back...
and the lcd got screwed...
guess what...they dont make spares for the model...they told me ill have to replace the entire unit....
now the ipaq is just rotting in the drawer....
but no sweat...i got it free anyway... 
[EDIT: if anyone knows a place i can possibly get it fixed, do let me know...i mean in mumbai, india....]

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. You must be gutted.  Don't try and change it yourself. I don't think you can buy the glass or front alone. Check out the S700 S710 Housings thread for prices of new housings or to be on the safe side visit a service centre.

Sounds like the casing is damaged (by the screen) but the LCD underneath is okay.
Either way, BOTH are replacable - and quite simple to do (I have replaced a Sony Ericsson LCD after some pixels started going).
Anyway, if you don't have any luck with the Sony Ericsson Centre, look in eBay. Both are available there. You'll just need a cheap T6 screwdriver.

hey m8 bad news things like that happen i just slipped my companys 9500 to the pavement from 1.5 meters lucky for me it landed on the edge and only this whas scratched a moment and buuum it falls.
anyway hope u will sort it asap and with minimum costs ...
