My brother and I want to trade phones.. but I am with ATT and he is with Cingluar. I already unlocked mine(Samsung) and now I am trying to figure out how to unlock the Sony Ericsson Z500. How do I go about doing this? I do not have the cable so I am guesing I will have to buy one. But after I buy one what do I do after? what software do I need to download to unlock the Z500?? Please let me know! Thanks bunches! |

Cingular and at&t merged, both phones should work without unlocking.

I wish this was true and I thought it would be but it isn't.or what I have been told. I called the company and they said they will not fool with ATT phones. I asked why not since ATT belongs to them now and they said some bullcrap stuff. She did made it CLEAR I cannot use an ATT Sim Card for an Cingular phone or an Cingular sim to an ATT phone.
Although I already unlock my ATT phone and the Cingular SIM works perfect in it, but I still haven't unlock the Cingluar phone for it to be able to use ATT sim card. So any idea?
PS. I have had my ATT phone for almost an year so I think this may be why the ATT sim cards are not working with the Cingular phone? No idea why really.
