hi there ..

all u guys with a k500i ... wat transfer speeds do u people get via infrared ?? I get a maximum of 2.3 kb /sec while uploading and 1 kb /sec while downloading ..

btw se own file manager really really sucks when it comes to speeds ... it really takes ages to connect to phone and read its folder let alone transfering files,,,

on the other hand FMA or mobileidt are good and K700 Dateimanager is awesome .. connects in seconds and also shows the transfer rates .. one of the greatest features this program has to offer is that u dont need to authorize a file transfer everytime on ur phone ... the phone automatically starts receiving the file ... good when u have to send multiple files ..

this program also tells how much free memory ur phone has left .. and btw it works with k500 .. despite of its name

Manish
--------------------------------------------------------------------I use ma-620 usb. It gives me a speed of 115.2kb/s.

I got u manish ... u r actually talking about the connection speed thats shown in the system tray icon .. baby thats the max speed that ur com port is capable of achieving .. the actual transfer rate is nowhere near this .. i recommended everyone to use k700 dateimaneger program .. and find out the true transfer rates real time and post ur experiences here

please differentiate kiloBIT and kiloBYTE. 115.2 is kiloBIT per second.
while the file size is 100 kiloBYTE

One Byte = Eight Bit

oh yeah sorry for that mistake .. anyway .. 115 Kbits/sec ~ 15 KByte/sec . but a 15 KByte files doesnt transfer in a second instead it takes around 6-7 seconds on my setup to get trasferred .. however I can transfer the files from my k500 to another k500 at lightning speeds ... maybe around 12 Kbytes / sec

wats up with that . if the ma-620 is capable .. and k500 is capable for sure .. why they dont perform in conjunction ?
