where is the connect notification in k500? |

Hi there
I just got a K500i ..I was using t610 before this one . undoubtedly this is 10 times better than t610 but i have a query .
when i make a call .. it says calling XXXXXXX then it turns into Connecting XXXXXXX and after a few seconds the call is connected ... same used to happen with my T610 ..
But my bro got J200i ... it does slightly different . it says calling .. and when the phone being called starts ringing .. it says connecting XXX .. which is a very gud feature that is available on every other mobile phone . even the cheaper LG phones . when the call is connected it says ringing ....
is there a fix for this thing .. so k500 detects when the other phone has started ringing and then turns calling into connecting ? |

I don't think there's a fix for this "problem". But maybe SE can change it in future firmware upgrades??

hey . my firmware is r2ae033 .. which i think is an old one .. so nothings there for that problem in the newer firmwares ??? anyone there with a latest one ?? |

this is certainly released almost one and a half year later than my t610's firmware... and the bug is still there .. the thing which is annoying me is the fact my bro's j200 is using the calling-connecting feature nicely and its half priced compared to my k500i 
and when a friend of mine msgs me and asks me to give him a bell if i m home .. i have to put the earphone on my ear to hear if his phone has actually started ringing |

cant u guys just check ur k500s to c if their calling->connecting feature is working in the proper manner ? and if someone's does .. can u plz tell the firmware version ?

I have a K500i (great phone). I'm not really sure what you mean. It's not a 'problem' just a characteristic.
When I dial a number it says 'Calling 0123 4567890', then when the ringing sound starts it says 'Connecting'. I also think It makes a difference in what number you call. I.e. I'm on Orange UK, so I call '453' for my balance, and it says connecting only, but doesn't ring because it's not a real phone I'm calling (just a special programmed voice).
I dunno, I don't really find it a problem. |

yes I was talking about calling real phones ... by the way ur phone turns calling into connecting rite at the moment when the other phone starts to ring ????
my problem is that it turns into connecting but straight away .. even if i dial my own number it says calling then connecting but offcourse it never connects so here is where it looks like a bug.. calling should have never turned into connecting when the phone being called is busy .. this is the case with my bro's j200i that i have already talked about .. u should try it urself .. dial ur own number and c if it says connecting ..or just stays to calling ...
ur firmware version anyway???
one more thing ... if u put the phone on automatic retries incase the number being called is found to be busy ... it keeps on trying to contact it .. and generates a connect tone when the call is connected ( means when the other phone starts ringing) .. this feature should be made available for regular calls too.. not just for retried calls..
like other brands eg. samsung have this connect tone ..
