I know that the newer phones can use older model BT headsets, but can it be said the same for older phones using new BT headsets? For example, can the Z600 use a HBH-662 headset?

I havent tested so myself, but in general the people who make these new headsets say they're backwards compatible.

problem is some old phones are just not very BT compliant. Old as in T39, R520. Z600 is fine.
