Well, we all play games on our mobiles. And how much gameplay does one get average? Maximum 6 hours for me. I've been wondering recently why the mobile games are so extremely short. 10 years ago I had this gameboy, first model ever and god damn - some games were so long! Mystic Quest, Zelda - the rpg games which lasted for weeks. Typical platform games were so much bigger too, Wario land - a week of playing. That was something.
Now the mobile games have far better graphics in most of the cases but still I have a feeling that I am playing a demo version of something. Do you have that too?
Does anyone know what prevents the developers from making like 500 kb game, damn, make it 3 times more expensive but it would be worth it! At this point I've got bored and I don't even track any info about new games since 95% of them are so short... |

it would be good to have full length games titles on PHONES....but thats it they are just PHONES...the reason the are so short is because they are meant for the 5 minute wait for the bus or bank queue..there are dedicated game phones

Agreed. Most of the games can be finished in about 3hours flat in one sitting. I need something super mario. In my mobile.

Well you see - 15 years ago people used to say that computer is meant as something to work it, not play, games was to be something you play when you take a pause while working and such... See how it is now. Therefore I do not understand why is the potential of phones getting wasted this way. Mobile phones surely can run great and big games, it might be a huge industry someday... But roght now I don't feel like spending 4 dollars for something that lasts for 2 hours.
With the eyes of my imagination I can see memory cards with 64 mb games installed, whole lot of gameplay, outstanding thing for those who for example travel by trains much or something.
Hmm I see a possibility to make a lot of money here |
