iPod's have mechanical drives, and tens of thousands get sold everyday. Everyone has one, everyone who has it, drops it about once a month. So i dont think that its a valid arument.

1) I think the 9300 has 416MHz so 360 isn't that much. PDA's have processors faster rhan 500 and maybe even past 600MHz.

2)People don't play all day with their iPOD nor walk around holding it to their ear and hoping npbody bumps into them. The point about the hard drive is that people drop their phones alot more often than their iPods.

And since we're actually supposed to talk N90 here, I don't think 360MHz is going to be very fast, N90 has a new screen with a very high resolusion and I think it might end up being a little slower than other nokia smartphones. I also think what might scare people away is the number of hinges, and what might keep people away is battery life. I have no idea what nokia was thinking but 760mAh is not enough espestially with a new screen.

ive dropped an ipod once and it fudged the HDD.

menhniacal drives in a phone is not a good idea!!

panasonic sell loads of their Toughbook laptops cuz they can withstand a drop from 30cm!?

now ive dropped many a phone from higher than that!!!

Yeah apparently the N90 doesn't have a vibration feature due to Carl Zeiss complaining that it will mess up their lens.
