new to esato, hello!

currently have T29, going to upgrade to T65.

Bug 1: heard from early this year that T65 has some problem of noise during speaking, is that true?

Bug 2: heard from last few days, T65 has problem detecting the remaining battery, reporting low-battery and shut down itself while 50% left.

Bug 3: does it accept the accessories from T29? I have headset, charger, chatboard.

@axia:

1. Yes, it had - this is however solved in later software realeses. The noise was due to the backlight, which now shuts itself off automagically when you're calling.

2. Never experienced that one...

3. Should accept same accesories as T29 - I think. Suggest you take a look at the official SE homepages, where the lists of supported equipment is up to date and official.

Fine! So:

1) Do you get backlight while using headset? Furthermore, the backlight is said to be not bright enough, right?

Thanks!

1) Wouldn't think so - backlight turns itself off when you start an outgoing call/accept incoming. Can't say that I've given the strength of the backlight any thougt, which probably means it's a-okay.

Anyway, IMHO the T65 is great value for your money. Nice design, good standby/talk-time, advanced properties etc.

I own a T65 and heard about that problem with speaker noise. So far i have not encountered that problem. I think it was with their first batches in sweden that had that problem. Also no problem with the battery. And i think most ericsson acces are universal

1) Software turns off the light while talking... nice. Do I have a chance to upgrade the firmware of T65, myself?

Btw, do I get a cable connecting USB port to T65 for sync, as standard accessories, can I update the firmware with that cable?

No, you can't do the SW upgrade yourself, you have to go to a service center and have them do it for you. If your warranty is still valid, it's free - if not they will most likely charge you for it. But seeing as the SE warranty time is one year, and the T65 haven't been out that long, it should be valid!

...and as mentioned before, remember to do a master reset after upgrading - if not, it might not work properly, due to incompatible settings between different releases etc...
