A GIRL of nine with a mobile phone was sent text messages offering work as a sex escort.

Sharon Taylor's father Roy, 62, said: "I am disgusted. She didn't really understand the texts, but what if an older girl or boy were tempted?"

One text said: "Free sex and get paid for it. Men and females needed to escort high class individuals today and earn £150."

Sharon, of Weston- super-Mare, Somerset, is with Vodafone. It said her number was on a fake list of potential customers sold to an "adult service".Results from an inquiry will go to the authorities.

They should sue Vodafone for selling info to other companies.

I think it would be a good to bring back compulsary registration of sim cards. That way the networks will be able to much easily keep a tab on what kind of information is being sent out and hence keep children safe. [addsig]

i wouldnt think its really any phone companys fault, just the sick minds of the people that send the messages.
The probably have a program/machine, that sends a message to all phone numbers between 1111111 to 1120000. [addsig]

no offence but fathering a child at that age is pure SELFISHNESS.
a man in his 50s cant do/with/for the same things with his child as a man in his 20s/30s can. by the time the child is in its mid teens it will spend more time looking after its parents, is that fair?
(of course im assuming the mum is about the same age but even if shes in her 20s it still not fair on the kids is it?)
