Upgrade in UK? (t68) |

I've got R1b on my t68, and I want it upgraded to the latest version(R2a), i called the sonyericsson helpline and they gave me the address of a company called Celestica in Telford, has anyone here sent their phone to celestia?? How long did it take? I did want to take the phone to a service centre myself but they told me that there wasn't one nearby(bournemouth). Is that right?

i sent mine to celestica it took 9 days and was returned with the r1b software
they said they could not get there software running properly
and it would have only been r1c anyway
if there is any where in uk i can get my upgraded to r2a let me know thank you |

I had my t68 upgraded to r2a last week by
DVH Communications in SW London
020 8971 6100
I took them 1.5 hours
and they did not even lose my data

i have just spoke to the people at dvh communications and they were more help full in five minutes than celestica have been in 11 days they do a postall service aswell |

DVH have the new software. It takes 1/2 an hour and is the MMS version.

They only have r2a - i had it done a couple of days ago there... no mms. Seem like a switched on company though (DVH) |

i just received my phone back from DVH very easy to deal with and they dont mind anwsering ya questions.
asked about the mms upgrade and they said they will phone me back they got some new software today but have not tried it yet
i reckonmend this company over celestica |

Maybe I got it wrong. But the engineer at DVH said it was the mms version. Don't know if it is a beta version. He said they got it straight from ericsson. |

Just got off the phone from Ericsson - They told me you could send the phone direct to them, and they'll upgrade it and post it back to you within 3-4 days.

Are you sure that DVH communication in wimbledon already has the new software with mms? I was there 2 days ago to upgrade to R2A (very good service, took only 35min) and they didn't know of a new software. but if somebody knows where I can get my hands on the new software please post to this forum!

someone from DVH jost phoned me back
they got new software from ericsson today
they dont know what its called or got on it yet as they cant get it to run
sounds to me like a beta version
so the latest they will upgrading phones to is r2a
