I'm trying to install the software for my BT dongle but I get the error message:
The InstallShield Engine (iKernel.exe) could not be installed.
The sytem cannot find the specified file.
Can anyone help me out? I've got Windows 98 SE btw.

The reason is probably that your Windows version is too old!!!
Some of the Bluetooth vendors (Widcomm, IVT) do not fully support older versions of Windows system... such as Windows 98 or Windows 98SE (or even Windows ME!).
Also, the hardware as your USB-port for instance, may be to slow for the communication needed?
Update your OS to at least Windows 2000.

Did you check the minimum OS requirement of that BT?
resistance is futile. |

currently most drivers are compatible with WinME and later, so it's logical to test the driver on a system with a newer OS to check the result.
