Has anyone used this combination? I was working fine with this until i upgrade the firmware on my phone. I upgraded from a very old firmware (I got the phone in the first week of release by Orange), to R2A033.

Now when I place the phone in the cradle it either starts switching itself on and off. or it looks OK, but when I try to make a call it states "not available" and this continues when I take it out the cradle, and will not work again uintil remove and replace the battery.

The only way I can get it to work is by having an active call when I place the phone in the cradle.

This is driving me MAD. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Hi,

does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I've contacted SE, Orange and the car kit installation people all without any joy.

I'm regreting upgrading the firmware now. the bad far outweighs the good.

Umm... I guess the only answer is the obvious one. Replace the THB with a S/E HCA-200 or HCB-300 B/T carkit. I cannot guarantee... but i would be suprised if the new firmware was incompatible with a genuine carkit. I've often found THB kits to be a pain in the butt long term anyway.

Unfortunatley I can't do that, it's a company car, and I just brought a cradle for my K700i and use that on the same car kit instead of my company provided Nokia. (for obvious reasons).

The only other option I have is to send the phone back to SE, they have told me that they will downgrade the firmware to one that works. (and they will test it before sending the phonme back to me).

Anyone have experience of sending their Phone to SE Repair in Banbury?

I have the same problem with my THB car kit. It worked fine with my old T610, but when I changed to a K700i and new cradle I got the same problem as you have. Have you found a solution to your problem?
