Unlikely, especially since the newer (and significantly more advanced) Sony Ericsson V800 and Sony Ericsson Z800 handsets are/will be available in most countries shortly...

There are some z1010 owners here in the Philippines. Contact 619 and ask him if he's still selling them.
I have one, from '3' and had it flashed with unbranded software. Thanks to 619.

It's a pretty old phone and was really there to show 3g in it's early stages. It is pretty buggy, and bulky compared to the V800.
Orange use it in the U.K., Vodafone decided not to go with it as better more reliable 3g phones were available on the launch of 3g at the end of 2004. (Launch for Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobile. 3 had a limited 3g launch over a year ago and O2 is yet to follow the others).

That depends on the network you intend to use it on (Siemens, Nokia, Ericsson, Motorola etc.) as it won't have been tested on some of the networks that have decided not to support and distribute it.

Many networks decided not to offer the Z1010 due to "software issues," but with the latest firmware, there's no major problems that I'm aware of.
The REAL reason so few networks decided to offer the Z1010 was because 3 was one of the few publically-available 3G networks when the Z1010 was released; by the time most other companies launched THEIR 3G networks, the Z1010 had been superceeded by far superior phones!

Well all networks in the UK are 3g now. I use a z1010 and 6630 and 6680. Ive even tried out a v800 on vodafone for a fortnight. I can easily tell u that the 6680 is the best 3g phone out at the moment. My next favourite is the z1010! If it weren't for the 6680 i would have bought a sim free z800i which is on sale a week 2moro here. My next phone would have to have at least a 2MP camera on it. By the way, Orange have just launched Orange 3g Tv here with 9 channels to choose from!
