The colour 8310 is just a knee-jerk panic attack from Nokia. They completely under estimated the quality of the T68 and the demand.
My guess is that the Nokia boardmen ran around like headless chickens after the stunning T68 sales and reviews and decided to 'throw' a clour screen onto the 8310.
The 8310 isn't a bad phone at all and I reckon Nokia will make up a little bit of ground. I doubt it will be a T68 beater though. But one things for sure - Nokia are scared, very scared. |

There is one more "slight" difference between 256 Colour display and 4096.
256 Colour display is 8 bit. and therefore need certain amount of processing power.
4096 on the other hand is 12 bit. if my memory hasnt gone away.
There is a huge difference in need of power.
Do u know where they must take it from ?
Yes the average calculating power.
It can make ( i wont say will ) the phone slow as f*ck. |

I thought the news presented on monday is about their new "high-end" phones sold with the brand name Vertu. http://www.vertu.com/
BTW: The domain name vertu.com was first registered 03-05-1998. Nokia have been working on this for some time..

The phones sold under the name "Vertu" are very exclusive phones made in gold and such things and covered with diamonds and pearls.
And the prices arent for "ordinary people" either

I don't see why everyone is suprised with the 7210, after the T68 was released, nokia said they were going to add color to the 8310 and that's exactly what they have done
it's still crap, nothing to shout about

Im quite worried about all these die hard sony ericsson fans surely wot we want is a good phone or even the best phone on the market. That was and maybe still is the T68 which I purchased. But I am eargerly awaiting the arrival or the new nokias and hopefully soon they will combine all the good functions they have managed to spread across their newest 3 phones. I want a phone which has java polyringtones a phat stupidly high resolution and colour screen, bluetooth voice commands facia changing capability and this new pop port interface which nokia have wot (eva it does!) I dont care which manufacturer it comes from!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
