Orange MMS charges. |

I am on Orange monthly contract and have recently noticed an increasing number of MMS being charged at double the stated rate. When I queried this I was told it was because they were over a previously unmentioned 50Kb threshold.
However somebody else in their CS recently told me that I would be charged double for an MMS if I added text.
Any other Orange customers confirm either of these statements ? |

This is a bit of a confusing subject and why Orange is the only one that double charges is strange.
Any way here goes.
You can add 1 photo / sound / and text on 1 page. If this is less than 50kb you will be charged 25p (20p with bundle)
If you send 1 photo with text and if this is more the 50kb then you will be charged 50p. If the photo and text are less than 50kb then again only 25p.
If you send 1 photo (less than 50 kb) and text on another page (no photo) (2page MMS) and this is less than 50kb, you will only be chanrge 25p.
However if you send 2 photos (2 page MMS) and this was still less that 50kb you are charged 50p (this is because you are trying to send multi photos on a mms but only want to pay 25p)
Strange but this is how the system works.
I just hope that its soon change but dont hold you breath.

Apart from the photo how do you check the total size of a message? i.e. Photo plus text |

O2 limit is 100kb. I think that is really stingy of Orange. |
