O2 s700is are already unlocked for use on any network. I bought one today and it was unlocked as standard.

I am positive that my S700i is O2 branded. It has the O2 startup and shutdown plus the O2 homepage button on the main menu. In my experience O2 handsets (except O2`s own handsets) are not locked to their network. Both my P910i and my S700i are O2 branded but both came unlocked from O2.

He is right. You can use any sim card in an O2 phone. Which is nice of them.
