Well my uncle has a d500. I transfered the baby ringtone via ir to the d500. The d500 asks to accept and my phone shows sending, but i cant find the file in the d500. I look under music where rest of the mp3's are, but it is not there. I transfered another mp3 from the pc to the d500 successfully. What is happening?

The Baby ringtone probably has DRM digital rights, so the D500 wont save it. It'll just deleted it once the file is received.

Was the other mp3 file you sent a file too ?

No, it was a normal mp3 with no drm and stuff. Is this the reason?

More than likely.

Try sending other mp3 ringtones, im sure the same will happen because have put their digital stamp on them, so other phones with DRM protection wont be able to play them.

Most new phones have DRM protection so you cannot share content with rival companies (such as sending pictures and ringtones to Nokia or Samsung phones).

Stupid ppl. In that case, i will convert it into wav and then recode it into mp3 format. That way all digital shit is gone. One way or another, i'm putting that ringtone in the d500. I initially thot it was some other issues like the clip being too small and hence not there in the music folder or something like that.
