Hi, i´m thinking about getting a 6230 now but i have some doubts.. Could anybody help me ?
Is it true that even if i get a big memory card some folders have preset maximum memory so i wont be able to put more content in them like java games, apps, messages, music etc?
Is the video quality good enough for watching videos like a simpsons episode ( i read somewhere that one could only store 5mb of video file!)
Is it really a good phone? Anyone bought one and regreted? Should i get a k7 instead????

thanks a lot!!

the 6230 isn't a bad phone, the best features are probably the MMC expandable memory, bluetooth and EDGE...

it can only take about 5-6 megs of J2ME , the programs can be about 350kb max... This is because it stores them on the phones internal memory, not the MMC...

otherwise the k700 and the 6230 are pretty similar, the k has a larger screen...

If you,re not too keen on expandable memory , get the K700.
6230 only scores on the memory...

I think there's a cap on duration of vids shot through the 6230 cam....with k700 vid can be as long as the available mem on the phone permits...

The only plus point of 6230 is the mmc facility.Otherwise the k700i is a much better phone. It has got a larger screen too. That too a very bright and clear one.And i think 50 mb memory is enough.

i think that another plus for 6230 is that it takes better photos in lower light conditions but i think that the K700 is far more beautiful phone

i had a 6230 up until last week when i upgraded to a v800. i have to say the gui on the v800 is much much better than the nokia. i regret getting it now and wish i had gone for a k700. videos are not that watchable on the tiny screen. i had a couple of episodes of sealab 2021 on it, they were ok to watch but only to show off to friends.

bottom line: nokia's gui is rubbish, and the t9 is no way near as good as 's one, the mmc just isnt enough to weigh out the bad things. get a k700i
