im used to 02s wonderful sms system, but today it seems to have died full stop!
I know sometimes when it says "sms send failed" that it goes through anyway but since 2pm today i havent been able to send any texts!
Ive tried loads of different people and at different times but its been over 4 hours now and nothing!
The service centre number looks ok, and if it has been changed the fones done it itself!
Is anyone else having problems or just me as usual?!

Mine's working fine so far here in Staffordshire, maybe it's a local problem, affecting your transmitter/few transmitters round you?

Have you tried a different phone, or tuning that one off/on, removing and reinserting the battery, etc.?

i got a new sim about a month ago and ive just noticed the service centre number seems to be a new one from my old original genie sim.
does anyone have the old one so i can give it a try.
i THINK the old one finished in 2727 or something like that! [addsig]

I have phoned O2. They are "aware" of a problem and are trying to rectify it now but dont know how long it will take. They told me to keep trying to text.
I would suggest phoning people for a while.
I can receive texts ok.

I think O2`s pre-historic SMS server thingy has finally gone pop.
