Kyocera Wireless, the maker of mobile phones and CDMA devices, has release a handset for the US provider Virgin Mobile – the K10 Royale. The handset is based on the K400. The main difference is that it’s the first handset by Kyocera supporting Java.

The K10 Royale features a full color screen and also voice dialing, calendar, alarm and contacts. Besides there are two downloaded trial games Bowling and Bejeweled from Jamdat.

The handset weighs 99 g and measures 111x48x23 mm. The battery lasts for 3.5 in talk mode and more than 7 days standby.

The sales of the K10 Royale shall start in April 2005, i.e. from day to day. The site Virgin Mobile already offers it at $99.99 with the tag “out of stock”.
