I have always had sony ericsson phones and love them. My trusty t610 got lost the other day so now I have to change.
However I could either get a cheap t610 on ebay for about $60 or so and then maybe wait for the 750 to come out and get that in however many months time here in US. Alternatively the D500 from samsung looks pretty cool, maybe better than all the sony ones. What do you think, of course I realise that we are all biased towards sony here!
The 710a looks good but I am worried about the size. I havent seen one for real yet. The swivel design sounds kind of annoying ifg youre always texting and stuff.

I'd suggest you get a D500 or a S710. When the K750 is released, sell the phone and get a new 750! The K750 will get cheaper in some months after the release.

If i had to choose between s710 or d500 i would go for the s710. If the s710 was not available i would go for the d500. Luckly i got both.

I would never suggest advanced user to buy any samsung phone. They may have best hardware, but their software is like it's made for persons with handicap. If their menu solutions and possibilities weren't so awfully bad, I'd cross-over to samsung immediately. Always liked their design and material quality, which undoubtedly holds 1st place among all phone brands, but e.g. no bluetooth or ir sharing with other users? (I'm not sure if this is case with d500 particulary) They're like bmw restricted to 65mph.

The d500 is basically a dumbish phone that looks and sounds great and has a great screen. Thats about it. Saw it at the dealers yesterday. Its boring - featurewise. I'll be waiting for the 750 for sure

I read in an other forum that K750 is announced for mid to end may here in Germany. As that's only one month to go, I'd have a look for a cheap phone and buy the 750 when it's released. I guess, it won't take long until it comes to the US once it's on the european market, right?

The d500 has no such handicap, it also has better menus than the rest of the samsung.

dont get the D500, by the time the K750 hits the shelf D500 will drop in price and youl loose to much money selling it. Besides that the D500, despite its good hardware, is a litle boring. I know lots who got it, but none that kept it for more than a few months, then they went back to S//E.
Id say get a cheap phone for now, something like the T610, and wait for the K750.
