All the way the update version until the newest-r3k software, they seems do not care enough to change the camera SW version. In my opinion there many rooms left for improvement at the software, especially the way it handles noise and sharpness of an image. I just hope whatever they implement in K750 will also available in S700, especially the Auto Focus feature. I bet the Auto Focus at K750 is just a software algorithm to further 'handle' digital image from the cam's sensor. Comments pls?

I don't have an idea about auto focus function!Maybe it's not only a software issue but maybe it's also hardware-related!As for the noise,i agree that the camera has noise when i take pictures in some situations,e.g:in the direct light of a lamp! Also,i think that it must move more quickly & also i see that there's not night mode when capturing a video! Why?In the K700 there's night mode in video mode!

I dont think K750 have enough tech to make the Auto Focus runs in hardware. It doesnt even have an infrared sensor, sonar sensor, or other kind for focus measurement. And surely the lens is fixed-packed at its place (you cannot change the focal length of the lens against cam's sensors). So, huge possibility the focusing will runs software side. Then it will look as if you have installed photoshop-like program into your phone. If the 'power' is in the SW then they can try to implement it to older models.

sapibobo is right but remember se is a company... probably this is what they plan to do- make s700pictures ugly compared to k750 and w8 and then make w8 and k750 a hotcake and if they feel the k750 and the w8 are the not-so-hotcake anymore, then they will release imaging software upgrades for s700...

Yes, thanks BJ. Actually i had been expected your answer. I understand fully SE as a economical entity. It just feels annoying when they tried upgrading 'the software' and decided to make a new product based on that instead fixing the old ones. Just hope SE dont make this a habit : small increments over time in different types. Ericsson never did this, each new type had a distinct feature from the old one. SE start to look like Blokia. Reminds me of Nokia 7250 and 7250i.
