Just had a guy trying to sell me a brand new Nokia 6630 , he had the receipt ect and it was bought on 3g only 3 days ago.
Now he said he uses codes CPW staff have to cancel the contract but without handing phone back it just shows the phone is returned ???
This seems very weird to me and surely this phone would get barred ? he also said the phone can't be barred unless the sim is used what was bought with the contract ?
It seems very cheap fora sim free 6630 unbranded and not going to take the risk.

@TheWhizz_68

I think you are quite right not to take this offer, it sounds decidedly suspicious to me.

Handsets can be blocked whether the SIM in them has been used or not.

handsets are barred by IMEI so it can still be barred and if CPW does not receive it back upon cancellation I think it is fair to assume they will have it barred too.

Are magic beans involved in the transaction?

Well, the solar powered torch already exists, I could actually buy one for £30 today if i so desired

Right Here

Edit: Back on topic, I wouldn't buy that phone, chances are you'll end up with a lovely blocked phone, worth much less than a handful of magic beans.
