Hi,

I bought an e-plus (germany) branded K700i which had R2AA003 on it.

I used the DaVinci unlocker (with a DSS25) to flash a new firmware (R2AE033 EU 2). I did everything as shown in the manuals (and as mentioned on additional sites), chose the proper firmware files(k700r2ae_main.bin + k700r2ae_fs_eu2.bin), they flashed seemingly correct and then watched finalization which went also ok.

The problem however is that I no longer can turn the phone on - it reacts as if it's dead. Do you have any idea what could be the cause and what my options are ?

Well, you can try to reflash the first phone. But first try to resurrect the phone with the gdfs file.

Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES

Thanks for the quick answer. I tried repairing with
[x] Recalculate Securit Data

It looks like it's working, but it doesn't. The log says:

Doesn't look too bad, but it still doesn't turn on. I'll waste one more credit and try to reflash it completely, but then I'm out of ideas.

Ok, Max recommended to flash the phone again without finalization and voila, this time it turned on afterwards. After "Please wait..." for some minutes I'm locked out with "Error in configuration. Please contact your network provider or the service center".

Huh?

Did I erase something critical during the unlock/flash/repair cycle? How can I proceed? At least, I can recharge it now...

I'd be grateful for more ideas...

I beleive you have to finalize your flash or else that error occurs but i'm not 100% sure.

Thanks for your message. I had contact with Max from the Davinciteam since then and together we took care of the situation. The phone is now live again and it has the latest firmware. He even gained me the lost credits back from when the failure occured. All I can say is 'Great support!'. Highly recommended!

For the records: I'm not sure where the problem exactly was because I did more or less just the same thing twice - the 2nd time though I used a USB controller where the DSS25 was the one and only device attached. Maybe that helped.
