I've just bought and fixed up an Orange-branded T610. The phone has been unlocked to any network, and currently has my O2 sim in it. I have the O2 wap gprs settings and email settings for my Virgin email account set up on the phone, both coming from SE's setup page, but whenever I try to check for emails it comes up with 'finding server', and the globe icon appears, but after a minute or two, it times out and says 'cannot find server'!

How can I get it to access emails? I've been doing it on my P900 without any problems. Do I need different gprs settings, like the mobileweb ones?

I did a search on this and couldn't find anything the same as my problem.

Try accessing mymail.ro pop3. If that too doesn't work, its something with your settings. Sign up on its wap site wap.mymail.ro. I'll give you its settings if you want.

Hi Sammy. Make sure the outgoing mail server is set to smtp.o2.co.uk. I have exactly the same as you. I will post my settings if you want.

@goldenface, yes, that would be useful!

The gprs itself works fine, that logs in fine, I suspect it's something to do with my email settings, despite me getting them off the website!
