hmm, I'd be paying 40p/min most of the time,
and I don't always spend £10 a month.
I've got spare o2 sims to test with.... hmm |

If u want cheap calls AND cheap/free SMS u may need to get a contract.
O2 PAYG is about as good as u get, 300 SMS for nothing is quite good!
I've also got an Orange SIM (2 actually) that give 5 SMS free per day. They do it as an add-on for £20 I think now but mine are two original 'Orange Out-here' SIMs with 5 SMS per day FOR EVER even without topping up!

It's a shame I don't spend enough to warrant a contract, £5-12 a month |

Orange no longer do the £20 per year for the SMS
But a Easy mobile sim card go to this web site
https://www.easymobile.com/selfcare/servlet/Index
There is no contract free to join and your sms are 2p at the moment to the end of June then only 5p. phone calls are again only 15p regardless of network or uk landline.
This is the cheapest for prepay.
I hope this helps |

So does my Orange PAYG. But if you are now just joing, they no longer do the scheme. Why god knows, It was a brilliant system.
You now have to buy text bundles like all the other networks eg 400 sms = £12, which is cheaper than there Contract customers get, unless they get a online tarriff like my contract phones and get 500sms and 200 mins for £30 |

I thought it is cheapest (SMS) here in Manila @ php 1.00 per send (roughly around US$ 0.020). For every US$5.85 call card (2 months expiree), it comes with 35 FREE sms!

These people outside the UK, can these txts be sent for the same price or for a good price to the UK?
I was hoping they'd be somewhere online to send messages cheaply but paid for a very low rates. The free sites are nice but can't be relied on.
