Having just order a nk3230, i noticed that it is Push to Talk enabled(not a reason i bought the phone). Ok i'll admit i don't know much about it, i read somewhere it makes your phone like a walkie talkie using gprs or something. But anyway, i was wondering if anyone knew of any of the uk networks looking to support it? Or will it never become available in the uk?

Orange have a PTT service called Talk Now but basically they seem to have completely misunderstood the point (or understood it a little too well) and it's a pointless exercise (as it's still charged by the minute, at more expensive rates than standard GSM voice!).
This may well never take off if the mobile equivalent of Voice over IP (VoIP) becomes mainstream any time soon, as Voice over GPRS will ultimately be replaced by Voice over UMTS (or whatever is adopted as the high-speed standard).

Cheers Dave...
Guess i won't be using it then... 3230 does have edge tho? If that makes any difference? And i've also heared that Orange uk are contemplating starting an edge service? Well here's hoping!
