I have trawled the internet, and hopefully it's just early days. As there seems to be NOTHING for this phone yet...
After playing with some midi software, I would say don't expect too much from this phone in the way of polyphonic ringtones. Upon first impressions I would say that they are not polyphonic, but just HiFi as the sagem website states. And as such they will not compare to the MMF ringtones available on the Samsung T100.
But all in all it's a pretty darn good budget phone
I am going to play about with getting some decent quality wavs on the phone now.
If I am successful I will post a url with some available to download. |

With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA |

Ringtones are available from spunkymunkys site and they do work, the midis(hi-fi) ringtones spund great, even if i do say so myself ;P only thing is to get a datacable (i got one for sale, pm or e-mail if anyone is interested) and the software from that very same site, (or the sagem website(same thing)).
Any way, any one got any unlocking software for it I can't seem to find it anywhere. And has anyone sussed out how to get new games on it yet?
thanks

I've had various problems downloading sounds and images to my MyX5 over infrared. The most common being the phone reporting that its memory is full even when completely empty. This is a problem that I've seen reported on a number of forums (in particular the french one at sagemmyx5.fr.fm).
This appears to be a problem with the My Pictures and Sounds software, not with the phone itself. So...I'm currently working on a replacement for the Sagem software which I will post on the web as soon as it's ready (a couple of days - the bulk of it is already working).
Hopefully those who have been having problems downloading will find it useful!

Sagem mobile phones are a load of old rubbish.
I have had My3020 and recently the My-X3 a black and blue version of the My-X5.
T9 input is one of the worst on any mobile phone as you cant add words to the dictionary same as My 3020 and also My-x5.
The construction is like a plastic toy and the buttons are not that responsive. Menus are very basic and uncustomisable.
The ringtones are claimed to be polyphonic plus hifi and musitone
all sounded like either j70 tones or bad digitised ones and ones off a phillips savvy.
Motorola C333 is better but appears not to have add to dictionary t9 either.
also philips 825 is cool but dictionary problem on that one too.
but either phone is better than the MY phones from Sagem

Ahem the Sagem my-X5 is a great fone for the money, I have actually had one for a while now. yes you can add words to the T9 dictionary, yes it has got GPRS. I disagree that it feels cheap and unresponsive its every bit as fast as a T68i, and well made. plus you get fully changeable front and back covers.
Apart from MMS and themes the phone is nearly the same as a T300 (flame away), but what do you want for half the money.
I have just got a T68i, and to be honest it's a fairly good phone, but for the extra money I spent to get it all I have gained is blutooth and MMS.
Well thats my view on things, sorry for the rant but I just get tired of people putting this phone down, and comparing it to this colour phone and that.
Top and bottom of it is for £100 quid PAYG, what do you expect, and of course, this being a sonyericsson board/website, do you expect unbiassed opinions about anything other than SE with all the fanboys around here, Hey don't get me wrong they are great phones, but c'mon each to their own, who cares if someones got a nokia, motorola sagem or whatever at the end of the day its up to the person what they want, and are happy with |

The same irDA problem happened to me, on the book, sagem is capable of playing midi files and wav files (could be the smallest phone ever to read wav files) since 3650, p800, 7650 and 9210i all so big in their size
I tried to connect to my laptop and ipaq via irDA with this phone but it always displays messages: connection failed, i tried to use my t68i and s57 too but it still displays the same message
Actually the memory is big (my guess) because its capable of playing wav files- should be over 1 MB

the memory is 470k, but the wavs get cxompressed so a 100k wave is only 25k for example |
