alot of them are tied to contracts, yes. but, there are still many many ways to buy unlocked phones over here. however, they are almost ALWAYS more expensive. i could buy a locked phone in UK, unlock it, ship it and get a cable for it cheaper than i could buy the unlocked phone here. haha. |

Don`t know, as I live in Norway. We don`t even have T-Mobile over here.
Wonder if this phone can be unlocked, I see it`s a triband phone, so network issue should be ok? |

I'd be surprised if they couldn't be unlocked.
I'm also surprised that T-Mobile haven't released this thing here in the UK, it would probably sell better here than in the US
