It is designed for the K750i and W800i. It wont work with the S700i as it has a different connector to the K750i. I guess they will release the HPM70 about the same time as they release the K750i.

It should be compatible with all forthcoming models as they will all use the new connector.

Someone should make an adaptor so we can plug in existing high quality headphones into the phone and use a microphone built into the adaptor.

Cant be that difficult, just needs a clever bit of soldering and a heaphone jack i presume. But it's beyond me!

The HPM-70 will be released with upcoming W800 but can also be used for K750i or newer models with fast ports.

The main improvements in the HPM-70 over the HPB-60 would be a) better sound, b) in-ear type earplug and c) a 3.5mm jack so that you can detach the earplug and use your own favourite earphones/headphones with the handsfree.

Go and get a 1GB-2GB MS and a pair of Shure/Etymotic earplugs and say goodbye to your iPod forever.
