Hi..

I always failed when i try to use remote control feature (Connectivity > bluetooth > remote control).

1. I choose desktop/media player/presenter --> no problem
2. Please select.. --> no prolem, can search my BT on PC
3. Connecting remote control --> Bluetooth connection failed. Why???

I have paired my k700i with my BT PC. I can transfer file, connect to fMA, etc. But why remote control always failed?

Note:
I'm using K700i, BT Bluetake BT009s with widcomm driver 1.4.2 build 10, Windows XP.

I have the same experience with remote control on my cousin's BT (forgot the brand), while mine (Billionton) works flawlessly. Probably certain BT adapter or drivers doesn't support the remote controls 100%.
resistance is futile.

I have the same problem with DiNovo Logitech bluetooth stack (based on Widcom drivers). Does anyone know of a solution? (used to work on previous version of DiNovo BT Stack ).

Then it's probably the Widcomm drivers that needs to be fixed.

Valentiner, upgrade your OS to Windows XP SP 2. It works!

How I got it to work (Widcomm):

Turn the bluetooth on on your phone

Right click the icon in the system tray (blue B)
Choose "Setup Wizard"
Choose the first option "I know the service I want to use..."
Click Next
Put the phone into discoverable mode
Choose "Human Interface Device" from the list and click Next
If it doesn't find the phone change the dropdown box to "All Devices" and click "Search Again".
Then follow the instructions.

In my case this then installed various drivers & it worked afterwards.

Hope that helps.

did as suggested, what is a reasonable amount of time to wait for the search to complete, it's now been 37 minutes and the phoneis 7 cm away from the bluetooth dongle.....it's set to be available for all items....
next steps?
thanks in advance
