The text to the picture say that it'll be legal to call from your phone when you're in a phonebooth. But they are going to paint the walls with Ledoxid (PbO) to minimize the radiation towards the people outside.

quite bad joke... it's was too obvious....

but the last part was nice

Users from websites like Esato and Mobilforum have already began to prepare to fight against the new suggestion. A logotype with the text "Don't touch my mobile" and namelists have already been published on the site www.ror-inte-min-mobil.nu (Rör inte min mobil is the Swedish for Don't touch my mobile)

The new law says that all using of phone, including calling, sending sms, mms, is forbidden in public places such as restaurant, cafés, busstations etc from tha first of January 2006.

This is about what the first part says. Not litterally translated though.

Government proposes mobile prohibition on public places

The government gave this morning an act where all mobile telephony is to be prohibited on public places.
"Innocent is not to be exposed to radiation" says the government office's pressrelease.

The act means that all mobile telephony, as well as phone calls and sending sms and mms is forbidden on streets, markets, restaurants, cafés, bus stops etc. from januari 1:st 2006.

Further more the government proposes in it's letter to the parliament that Swedish Telecom's old phone booths who has taken out of service is to be rebuilt to work as phone rooms for everyone who needs to use their mobile phones.
To decrease the radiation towards the enviroment, the phonebooths' walls will be repainted with a paint consisting of ledoxid that will prevent the radiation to reach the enviroment.

Behind the proposal lies an inquiry made by the researcher Johan Olsson on the state's special center for radiationresearch Gustavian Institute. In his inquiry has radiation from as well as NMT-phones and TV-devices has been reviewed.

- Even usage of the FM-radio is problematic from radiationperspective, but the mobilephones increases the gradually beta-koefficient so substantial that the central neurologic functions as arigmatic brainactivity becomes seriously damaged, says Johan Olsson to Mobil.

The government has today through a letter suggested the EU-commission and World
Health Organization, WHO to make the swedish prohibition both an EU-directive and introduced as an recommendation from FN's radiationcommitee in Wien.

Those comments we've so far received from the mobile operators is of course everything but happy. Legiblest in their critics is Vodafone.

- If this act accepts it's a flagrant violation against the licenseconditions to the mobile operatorsm and we will request damages for billions, says Jonas Grenholm from Vodafone to Mobil.

Nemo Nilsson, director at the newsletter Stockrates Today, means that it will be the beginning of the end for mobilecreators happy years on stock exchange:

- If this spreads to other countries, the mobilecreators gets hard living on the stock exchange more than a couple of years. However you can prophesy a brilliant future for companies who works with Telex and Telefax, there is the future, says Nemo Nilsson.

I used Lexin from the Authority for Schooldevelopment to translate and the last part is from Cytech. Those words in italic is words I'm not sure if I translated right.

If it keeps the radiation from getting out, how good would your signalstrengh be
