Hello
I have a cable which i purchased off a reseller and worked with Davinci but i don't kno what kind of cable it is. The problem is that i want to use the sync software as well as others and this won't work
I checked the properties and it said it was FTDI but it when i plug it in, no program will detect it, such as Floats mobile agent or the SE ones. Any help would be great |

Thank You. However i was also wondering if anyone had any idea how to make it work with the software, if that is the correct cable? |

Is that a USB cable? (I think it is...)
If so, you have to get an USB2COM converter so it creates virtual com ports for you to set in FMA.
Don't know if the SE drivers for DSS will work with it, but you don't have anything to lose, right?

If it was used with davinci then I would have thought that it was a T28 service cable. These cables are great for flashing the software on the phone but cant be used for syncing. Its not a terminator dongle lead as that is for use with div software.

I don't believe it is a T 28 because a T 28 acceses a computer through a ps/2 port rather than a usb, which is the way mine aceces it. Also about this USB2COM on floats mobile agent, how do i acess this?

I mentioned an USB2COM generically.
This doesn't come with FMA.
That's why i tipped you to install the DSS drivers. I think it would a virtual COM port (i.e. COM5 or something like that), so you can select it in FMA.

No, no, no, no!
It's not an adapter. It's a driver that simulates a COM port through your USB port.
