Which is the best PAYG network for gprs? |

Ok since 3 has locked me down for 12months I decided to buy a P910 so as to use the gprs for email and msn. So my question is which is the best sim card around that is going to work out cheap since I wont be making any calls.

O2 of course. GPRS is free! You don't even need to activate the SIM, just use Proxy Add: 193.113.200.195 & Port 8080

Really I got one of those sim card but I think its the new one do you reckon its going to work? |

Yes mate, as long as u enable the Proxy settings I gave u.
There's a thread in the P-Series section called 'O2 free GPRS works for me' which has the full settings listed in the 1st post

Cheers mate looks like thats what its going to be, ps does it allow you to log on to msn? or is the port blocked? |

No it won't allow the use of things like IM apps or other nice things. Big let down but for FREE u can't really complain

the pop3 wont be free though id get a tesco sim which does have free pop3 as well

Ok so Tesco has just gone in the lead... but if I need to use IM can I just pay the data charges or does O2 stop it completley? |

Yes... tesco rocks free on my moto but it charges me on my t610

For now, orange have got free GPRS, only for a month, but its fully unlocked... but i'd be intressed to know about Tesco.... there ius one over the road to me
