Hi, i live in Birmingham aswell.
There are only 2 SE servive centers in B'ham. They are:

Intercity Mobile Communications
101-114 Holloway Head
Birmingham
B1 1QP
0121 643 7373

Gittins Communications
1859 Pershore Road
Birmingham
B30 3DJ
0121 486 1010

I am quite lucky because i go past "Gittins Communications" nearly every day

I am not sure, if you have them then it would be good, but i don't think so, depends if you want it free or not. I think it's free in warranty. [addsig]

i know you get the fw upgrade and the debranding free with warranty but how will they know that i have warranty if i dont have the reciept, i might bring it anyway. will they change my cover for free or will that cost me? i dont mind paying for a cover because the voda 1 sucks!

you have to take proof of purchase with the date on with you. The software changing will be free, but if you want to change the case, im pretty sure they will charge you.

there are no "official" service centers in the bullring. Gittins communications is probably the better of the two in Birmingham. You give in your phone and then collect it the next day.
